Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, in Lombard, Illinois, is the traditional homeland of the Peoria, Potawatomi, Miami, and other Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land throughout generations. This region, part of the larger area known as the Council of Three Fires, has been a site of community, sustenance, and cultural exchange for many Native nations.

We honor their enduring connection to this land and recognize the ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities to this region and beyond. Let us commit to learning about and supporting Indigenous sovereignty, cultural heritage, and their rights to self-determination.
