Poster Presentation Information

A Poster Session provides an engaging and visually compelling way to showcase research. Presenters convey their findings using a combination of graphs, images, diagrams, and concise text, displayed on poster boards. These sessions, held in the hall just outside the exhibit space, create an interactive environment where authors can engage in meaningful discussions with attendees as they explore the displays.

To ensure broad accessibility, presenters are required to upload a PDF version of their poster to the Oxford System and bring a printed version to the meeting.

Please note: All presentations will take place in person—virtual participation is not an option. Presenters must attend and present their work.

Poster Preparation

There are numerous resources available to help you prepare your poster for presentation. The ACA has specifically designed this guide to assist authors in the poster creation process.

  • The recommended poster size is 40” x 40” (101.6 cm x 101.6 cm).

  • Posters should not exceed 40” high x 45” wide (101.6 cm x 114.3 cm).

We recommend using Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, or similar software to design your poster. Final posters must be submitted in .pdf format; other file formats will not be accepted for upload.

Poster Printing & Display Guidelines

Presenters are responsible for ensuring their high-resolution, printed posters are displayed in the designated area during the session. You may either print your poster in advance and bring it with you or arrange for printing at a facility near the conference venue.

All costs related to printing, transportation, and display are the responsibility of the authors. The ACA does not handle printing, storage, or retrieval of posters and will not retain any materials left behind after the session.

Your assigned ACA poster ID number will be displayed on the presentation boards. Please ensure your poster is mounted in the exhibit hall on Saturday, July 19th, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM CT.

Refer to your acceptance letter or the final conference program for the exact time and location of your poster session.

Poster boards will be numbered sequentially. Locate your assigned number and place your printed poster in the corresponding space. Pushpins or thumbtacks will be provided for mounting. Poster chairs will be available onsite to assist with any questions and provide support as needed.

At least one designated presenter (author or co-author) must be present at the assigned location during the scheduled session to discuss the work with attendees.

Virtual Poster Gallery

The ACA Virtual Poster Gallery will be hosted on Oxford Abstracts, providing an accessible and interactive platform for participants. This virtual format offers flexibility, allowing attendees to explore posters at their convenience while fostering meaningful engagement and collaboration.

Closer to the conference, you will receive detailed instructions on how to upload your poster to the gallery. Please keep an eye on your email for further information.
